Soon premiere!!!

Hello my dear(friends and fans of GD),

we are coming closer and closer to our big premiere.. finally the number one, in a giant countdown of Six pack, high five, Four play, MM and more(wich had 5 pieces.. the 3 and the 2!!) and now the BIG One.. and its going to be great!!

The choreography is pretty much finished, just some touch ups here and there.. but on the whole it all there! Great costumes, video work, a wonderfull set, tables, lots of chairs and a gold crown.. actually my gold crown. I will be playing the character of Nero the crazy king.. its a wonderfull role with lots of acting, screaming and a little bit of killing! Not the typical Eric.. if you know what I mean!!

The company is well.. Isabelle is engaged, she will get married this summer to her prince charming Pierre. Maria is going great still craking jokes in her british accent. Gara is a little tired from rehearsing Poppea.. since she will be incarnating the role of Poppea herself.. and my friends get ready for this, she is absolutly Fantastic!!! Marianne is still going strong with her modeling career.. fotoshoot here and there. She also made me a wonderfull costume design for my new choreography for the Cranko School. Armando is cool as always, taking care of his sweet little Noah and giving some time for his lady to relax a bit! Giusseppe is looking like a model more than ever, since he got a crazy cool haircut for the new premiere. William is working like a dog, he told me the other day.. I will sweat 2 kilo every Poppea.. and beleive me, when you see him dance you will understand why!! Bjorn is well, I am very proud of how much he has matured in his movement and personality during the process of Poppea.. so as you cant tell all is well with the gang!!

25 years.. and 25 more to go!!!

Well here we are,

today is great day.. my wonderfull theater is celebrating 25 years of hard work!!!

Its been only three years since the birth of Gauthier Dance, but it seems and feels like we have been here all along!!! The magic of this house is the family feeling.. after travelling lots and discovering how other theaters function, I know that here is really something special! That is why I put my hands in the air and scream GEILE TH, Happy Bday!!!!

Talking about the celebration, I am shure it will be one to remember… So many great artists coming together on one stage, in one theater, on one evening!! Gauthier Dance will present the sofa and one very very new choreography, created pretty much just for tonight… Bollywood Ballerina Ballerinosis the title and you can guess the direction we are going in.. Bollywood!!! It should be loads of fun, the dancers have cool costumes and as a special guest we have the legend Egon Madsen with us onstage in the main part!!

In other news, we are off to Houston, Tex.. to perform in the world famous dance festival The Dance Salad. GD will be performing ‘Orchestra of Wolves’, taken from the last production M.M. and more. Its been just such a great year with the touring for GD but I have to be honest, nothing beat going to America!!! We know that its 25 degrees outside there, but 5 degrees inside since they always have the air conditioning on way too high!!! Better hope GD does not come back with a cold… since the works goes on right away after our return with a Gauthier Dance Special show and the big Gala, in the beginning of April!!!

Whats new with us… Isabelle is looking alot like a hippie these days, William has more and more young girly fans around him after shows, Gara is exited about Houston, Marianne is planning some costume designs for my ballet in Nordhausen, Armando’s Noah is looking more and more like a little man.. Giuseppe is getting ready for spring and summer, Maria just had a big teeth operation but she is doing fine.. still smiling, Bjorn is keeping busy travelling, Renato is just lovely, Aglaya is so very busy with the gala organisation.. and Vivian is, in my opinion.. great great great!!!

As you can see things are well here at GD… and we all wish the Theaterhaus

THE GALA IS IN VERKAUF!!

Hello there,

what can I say, lots and lots of things are happening for GD!!!! One of the big ones is the verkauf started for my first annual Gala… and the tickets are selling fast, really fast!!! I am so very happy that so many decided to support my cause, or they just wanted to see great dance companies come together in the theaterhaus!!! About 400 tickets are sold.. and 300 more to go… so if you want in ..call 40 20 70.. and secure your tickets!!!

What else is going on… GD in holidays for 2 weeks!! A good deserved holiday.. the last months have been real busy with tours to Luxembourg, Viersen, Lörrach, Remscheid, Leverkusen… No I am hoping that the batteries will be charged for the next runde.. Aalen, Brawnscheig, Munich and to top it all off, Houston Texas, America… how great is that, that GD is spreading their art and love of dance to all these different people in all those different places!!!!

I, actually only had one week free… took off to the mountains of Austria for a little wellness.. sauna, dampfbad, going to bed early and finally spending time with the greatest woman in my world, my wife Laura!!! My second holiday week has been busy preparing Don Q with Egon Madsen.. we will be hitting the stage this friday and Sat in the Theaterhaus!!! Actually in our off time putting Don Q together, I have been also creating a new pas de deux for Egon and I.. I wont let you know so much BUT.. we have been taking Bollywood workshops from an Indian teacher!!!

Thats about it… we are performing M.M. and more in the end of march.. and in the middle of Maiin Stuttgart.. these tickets are all in verkauf!!! I am happy, lucky and thank you all for the support… GD could not survive without you all!!!

HOME SWEET HOME

So here we go… Blog number 4,

As I write this, I am sitting at my desk, in my buro.. and it just feels like I haven’t been here in months!!!

My desk is is full to the top with: Mobil request(If we said yes to them all, mobil could be a full time job, which could be very nice)… we had today in Waiblingen one of the greatest mobil ever.. 200 kids in the middle of puberty sitting QUIET and just watching dance.. no really, they where all quiet… even the leiter of the school could’t believe it!!!

We are dancing in Waiblingen tomorrow.. in the Burgerzentrum! Its really a best of show… Ballet 101, Monologue, Bjork duets, Wolves, Air guitar and the majestic Susto… what the public doesn’t know is that I just decided today to throw in les Bourgeois… hopefully this will be a nice surprise!!!

Things are keeping busy for Gauthier Dance, Gd will be performing in a ‘Best of BW’ show in the messe Stuttgart for all the mitarbeiter from the Sparkasse.. I have even heard that Fr. Merkel will be there… wouldn’t that be nice if GD could make her smile!!!!

The company is well… Isabelle, William and Giuseppe are starting to work on a new pas de trois with me on Monday… this will be premiered in the Gauthier Dance Special the 8th of April and also be presented in the ‘gauthier and friends Gala’ the 10th April!!! About my gala.. I now know that Bern, Regensburg, Ausburg, Dresden Ballett and many others(Egon Madsen) will be on stage that night to support my conquest to raise 10 000euro to help the research for Alzheimer’s!

Garazi has made her hair very very RED! William is still happy in Bad Cannstatt, Marianne is shooting a movie for the Aka in Ludwisgburg, Giuseppe is singing non stop, Isabelle is looking very french lately(just missing the beret), Bjorn finally has a kuche, Armando and Lisa’s Noah is almost talking( I heard him last week when Lisa picked up Armando at the Banhof… and I could swear he said ERIC.. but maybe he just said EeeeWwwwiiiisssss and just asking for milk!!!) Maria Is smiling… smiling… !!!! Renato is also well… enjoying the trips with GD!!!!

This is it… got to go, its Werner(my boss)birthday!!!!

TRAVEL.. TRAVEL.. TRAVELLING…

So here it is… my third Blog,

Its been gut times at Gd!! We had our 8 performances in Dec and 4 performances in Jan of M.M. and more all sold out…

GD is on tour alot lately.. we where just in Munich in Dec and where in Remscheid(where we got a standing ovation).. now we travel to Lörrach today and next week is Achafenburg and waiblingen.. So we are keeping ourselves busy…

Everybody is in good shape, the arm from Isabelle is now close to perfect(she is already back onstage with Pression and Susto). Marianne is also very well dancing more than ever… William is dreaming of us touring warmer countries.. Armando’s Noah just seem to get bigger evrytime you see him!!! Maria has found herself a new whonung in BadCannstadt… Guiseppe is still singing, in the shower in the studio and I bet at home aswell!!! Bjorn is back from snowy Dresden.. and Gara is slowly but shurely learning English and Deutsch… Renato is happy to be travel.. travel.. traveling since he has pretty much friends in every dance company on earth!!!

I am well and fine, will be playing a concert in Waiblingen on the 16th Jan in Swanen Kultur zentrum… should be nice, we will play not so loud this time.. more accoustic songs!! I will also be getting ready for Don Q its coming back Feb 19, 20 to theaterhaus.. and Egon and I will perform in the Deutsch Tanz prize Feb 27, in Essen!A dear friend of ours will be receiving the prize of lifetime acheivementin dance.. and we are both so very proud of her!!

This is just a tip.. since the tickets are not yet on sale, but Sat the 10th April I will hold my first annual Dance Gala evening with stars from everywhere(Genf, Spanien, Dresden to name a few) joining me and GD in the Theaterhaus to support Altzeimers. My dream is that after the show I could give a check of 10 000euro over to the German research in Frankfurt!!! My father Serge Gauthier has been trying to find a cure for this desease since 30years and this is my way of finally be able to help a little… So if you want to support my cause…just buy a ticket!!!

This is it.. got no mote time, I am off to Lörrach… wish me luck!!!

M.M. and more… is more than ever expected!!!

This is my zweite Blog… und this one is still in English mit ein bischen Deutsch,

the premiere last week went really well.. I am so happy… with the dancers, the technik and of course the public!!! All took in the new creation with so much heart.. I even had tears in my eyes…

This week GD is preparing for Munich. We will be leaving next week for 6 days and will be presenting a GD Special… Ballet 101, Sofa, Bjork Duets, Susto, Air guitar and we will be bringing back to the stage ‘The blind leading the Blind’…. a piece we have not performed in awhile!!!! In the role of the blind man in Munich we will have a newcomer.. Stephan Moos from the Theaterhaus Schauspiel… viel glück Stephan!!!

GD will then be going on a little christmas break, before returning to the stage wih MM again in the end of December!

Also for all to know: the TH added an extra show of MM the 6th Jan and the new dates for Feb are the 2, 3 and 4th Feb… Aswell, my very favorite piece to dance is BACK… DON Q.. with just two dates(these maybe the lasts ever!) The 18 and 19 FEB… dont miss it… : )

The dancers are well, a bit tired from all the shows last week, but in very Gut spirits…

Armando and Lisa’s Noah is growing faster than ever… Gara is learning German quite fast… Maria has a dentist appointment tomorrow and must miss training, William, Guiseppe and Marianne are practicing for their songs on Sunday(TH concert)… Bjorn is learning Fishes… and Isabelle’s wrist is doing much much better!!!

GD is in gut shape… I am happy happy happy.. till next time Eric G

A new premiere… here we go again!!!

This is my first TH blog…

and this one is in english but it could very well be that the next ones will be in schwäbisch…

Lots is going on… GD was in Luxembourg the last 3 weeks preparing for our new premiere MM and More!! It was a wonderfull time, a relaxing time, even if it was raining most days(felt a little like being in London). The premiere went very well in Lux.. even if we knew that the public is a tough one… they actually were yelling ‘Bravo’ and ’stamping their feet’ (alot like our beloved public in Stutti).

Now tomorrow will be another story… we will test the waters with the new production!!! People have been asking me if I am nervous… and I always said ‘NO’, but in my little blog… I can tell you that I kind of am, nervous… But I have a gut feeling… the show are well sold already and I think we are ready for anything. For the ones who have bought tickets.. thanks for the support… GD lives and dances for you…

Last but not least…ISABELLE IS BACK… Great news… our little french beauty is back back back after breaking her wrist one month ago during a GD performance… we are so very happy to say her first show back will be in the premiere tomorrow!!!!!
